The next President: Bush #3

In an article entitled, “Bush Binges; Obama, McCain will pay” the authors claim the next president will be too busy working with picking up after Bush, that he will not be able to start his new policies. Saving the country from a financial tragedy, and working with getting the country out of debt, will be the president’s main job. The article mentions that since the Bush administration has taken over, the government has started two wars, and we are now finding ourselves close to $400 billion in debt. The next leader will have to get America back on track. Obama mentioned in the presidential debate that America’s image in the world needs to be restored. Both of the presidential candidates agree that something needs to be done about the financial and foreign policies of America. From past elections, we have seen the candidate progress from a positive changer during the campaign, to a leader who seems not to follow thru on any of their promises. We can only hope that once either McCain or Obama is elected, there really will be change.

IMAGE IMAGE IMAGE!!! IT IS ALL ABOUT IMAAAGGGGGEEEEEE!!!!

We must again make America LOOK good in the world's eye. If only looking good was as easy as combing/brushing your hair and putting on some fancy clothes. I don't really care how we look when it comes to the future of the planet. What really matters to me is what we do, who we help, who thrives because of us, and global prosperity. We can save the world dressed like a hobo... so forget image...

I agree...I still have a hard time believing if either one of these canidates can improve any of our countries sitiuations. Or country is in such a hard time that it will be extremely hard to. I guess we will soon find out.

Image is not in how we look to other countries, but how we treat them. You see someone as honorable and trustworthy, not handsome or clean. Other countries view us as ignorant, belligerent, and greedy. This is an image problem, yes, but it is fundamental to how easily we can open dialogue to other countries. A president that acts without deliberation and consequence from the public speaks volumes to how we actually feel about the world outside of our borders. We need to vote on the candidate that can best represent our country to the rest of the world. I would rather not be embarrassed anymore. We must force these candidates to meet our expectations as sanctioned during the general election, and I believe that most of the public expect the president to be our world representative.

ofcourse its all about the image as long as they keep that image of "Great America" to the out side world, where in reality if we search and look deep inside of america it is not so great, poverty, unemployment,... etc.
i think this is what the government forgets, they think that keeping americans image to the world that is so great, is more benefecial and better than actually taking care of america and truely making it a great counrty.

The American image is on a sharp decline; however I think it is the least of our worries. The current economic situation will affect America and the next president in many ways. Why are we so concerned about where each candidate stands on issues? The next president will be too busy dealing with the mess Bush has created.
